Tricia Tingey and her family moved to Riverton in 2001. Her family has been involved in the Riverton City Council since 2004, with Tricia serving since July of 2014.

Tricia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and special education from Brigham Young University, with certificates in Gifted and Talented Education and Math Education. She currently works as a clinical faculty associate at the BYU McKay School of Education where she teaches pre-service educators.

She has four children who have all attended schools in the Jordan School District in Riverton, including Rose Creek Elementary, South Hills Middle School and Riverton High School. Her son Jordan is in his second year of dental school, daughter Ashley is currently employed as an RN, daughter Kelsey is attending UVU, and son Rhett received his Surgical Technician license just prior to leaving for an LDS mission to the Dominican Republic.  He has been accepted to BYU upon his return.
