This program is designed to give your child an introduction to Volleyball. The program teaches parent and child the correct volleyball skills so that bad habits can be eliminated at an early age. One of the biggest complaints from high school and college coaches is that they wish that players were taught correctly from the start. They wish they did not have to spend so much time trying to break bad habits that have been allowed to develop for years.
Parents will participate with their child in the class to maximize the amount of touches they get during each class and to learn the proper keys to each skill so they can work with the child at home. Classes are designed for the kids to have fun while learning and to give them a positive experience to the sport of volleyball.
This class is being taught by Kevin Willett. Kevin is a successful volleyball coach, player (before he got fat), college official/line judge, and league director. Kevin has coached the Pleasant Grove High Boys team to 3 state championships and coached one of the UVU men’s teams to one of their most successful seasons. Kevin has been officiating college, high school, and club for over 17 years and is one of the few national officials in the state. Kevin is the boy’s director for Club Utah and runs the Utah Valley Boys High Schools Volleyball League.
