Healthy Riverton

Have you ever been concerned that a teen was in danger of hurting themselves but weren't sure how to
Healthy Riverton Logoapproach them?

Healthy Riverton will be holding monthly QPR training courses to teach you how to ask the hard questions about suicide, how to persuade the person to get help, and where to refer that person.

QPR is to suicide what CPR is to cardiac arrest. If enough people in the community are trained to recognize the signs of suicide and intervene appropriately, we can reduce the number of suicide deaths in our youth.

Who should be trained?

Everyone who has contact with children and adolescents: coaches, employers, neighbors, parents, teachers, school staff, and church leaders.

Classes will be held the third Thursday of each month, excluding December, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the community room at UFA Fire Station #124, 12662 S 1300 W, Riverton, Utah 84065.  Due to the sensitive nature of course content, we ask that you arrive on time and leave small children at home.

Or send an email to to schedule a private class for your group of 10-30 people.
