Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs Declares Riverton as "Open for Business"Businesses thrive in Riverton, Utah! As the city and the surrounding area continues to grow in population, businesses continue to grow as well and new businesses come to the community. Riverton and directly adjacent cities of Bluffdale, Draper, Herriman and South Jordan have a combined population of over 220,000; making Riverton a prime place to locate a business.

At the heart of the southwest Salt Lake County region, Riverton is conveniently located along several key transportation corridors, giving businesses easy access customers and potential customers. Bangerter Highway, Mountain View Corridor and Redwood Road all cross directly through Riverton, and the city maintains easy access to I-15 via 12300/12600 S and Bangerter Highway.

One of the city's main strategic priorities, established by the City Council in January 2018, is to promote a thriving business climate that supports the needs of Riverton residents. As a result of that priority, Riverton City eliminated standard business licensing fees, prompting Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs to declare that the city is truly “open for business.”
