Just you and I - Daddy Daughter Date Night

Come join us for our annual Valentine's Day themed night for dads and their daughters. There will be dinner, dessert, dancing, pictures and parting gifts for each girl. Best dress please!

Riverton Arts Council - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical or operetta with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The story is based on the "Coat of Many Colors" of Joseph from the Bible's Book of Genesis.

Goin' Green Recycle Day

Riverton City is offering a free recycle day on St. Patrick's Day! Bring all your cardboard, newspaper, plastic bottles and containers #1-7, tin and steel cans, aluminum cans and aluminum foil.

Movies in the Park!

FREE! Bring your blankets and enjoy a summer evening with family & friends. We ask people with chairs to sit towards the back. All movies will start at DUSKweather permitting. Movies will be located on the event lawn at the Riverton City Main Park (1452 W 12600S). You can even bring some money for Food Truck Frenzy before the movie starts.

Food Truck Frenzy

You can shop, sell, and spend the day with friends and family at our Home, Hand, and Harvest Market. We'll have a few local fameers and gardenders along with other vendors selling an assortment of wares.

Miss Riverton Scholarship Pageant

Come support the contestants in our annual Miss Riverton Pageant. The young women, ages 17-23, will be showcasing thier talents, communication skills, fashion, and more.

Get into the River

We invite the community to join us in celebrating the Jordan River corridor, from 10am to 2pm. Come learn about the animals and habitats supported by the river and how communities and individuals are enjoying it each and every day. There will be educational and recreational demonstrations during the festivities. Bring your bikes, your strollers, your walking shoes, and experience the Jordan River Parkway!

Memorial Day Salute

The Riverton American Legion Post 140 will once again be at the Riverton Cemetary for a special Memorial Day program on Monday, May 30 at 11:45am. We invite everyone to attend and remember the veterans who have given us the freedom we now enjoy.

Riverton Town Days Rodeo


It all starts on Thursday with our annual 3-Man Arena Sorting Competition, starting at 7:00pm. This event is free to the public. Come and watch the cowboys sort the cows by number. Then join us Friday and Saturday night for an entertaining rodeo. It's been called the best in the West! You don't want to miss the action. Tickets go on Sale June 1st!

What's Up in Riverton - Celebration of Community

This long-standing event provides a great way to get to know local businesses, the Mayor and many of the people behind Riverton City departments. All Riverton businesses are invited to come and share information about their business and give out FREE STUFF! Free hotdogs, car show, bounce house, bike rodeo (by the Unified Police Department) and more. Leave you wallets at home, everything is FREE!

Halloween Bash & Kids' Carnival

Halloween Bash


It's time for the annual Halloween Bash and RHS Drill Team Carnival Fundraiser! Enjoy a kid's carnival, food, and more. Back by popular demand is the Search for the Great Pumpkin with lots of "pumpkin seeds" filled with toys and candy!

Roam through the park on the TrollSTroll Scavenger Hunt. Find hidden prizes througout the park as you search for each clue. Fun for the whole family.

All activities are outside, so dress warm and don't forget to bring your flashlight!

Scare Rodeo

Bigger and better than ever! Come to our second annual Scare Rodeo, a kid-friendly spook alley held in the Riverton City Rodeo Arena. Experience the rodeo grounds in a whole new light (or dark). There will be multiple haunted areas and other scary surprises lurking around every corner. You might even see the Headless Horseman!

Candy Cane Corner


Candy Cane Corner is an annual collaboration between The Road Home, Volunteers of America, Utah and YWCA Utah. Annually, these three organizations ask the community to help them provide a holiday shopping experience for the families they serve. Riverton City is an official drop-off location. All are welcome to donate new gifts at Riverton City Hall until December 10th. 

*All items must be new and unwrapped.

They are in desperate need of clothing at Candy Cane Corner! Specifically:

  • 3XL – 5XL clothing
  • Toddler clothing
  • Women’s clothing

Santa's Arrival


Here comes Santa Claus! Be there as he arrives in style on a big red fire engine. Visit Santa, enjoy crafts, wagon rides, warm scones, hot chocolate & more. Some activities will be outside, so dress warm.

Christmas Night of Music


Celebrate the Christmas season and the city's 150th anniversary with a 150-voice community choir, the Riverton Children's Choir, and live orchestra. Enjoy traditional, modern, and classical Christmas favorites from "Sleigh Ride" to "The Hallelujah Chorus." Let's fill the auditorium and make "joyful noise" with family, friends, and neighbors at the "Christmas Night of Music."

Santa will be visiting us each night along with food and craft vendors on-site. Free kids crafts, sugar cookies and hot chocolate. Take a walk around the park to see the lights AND the new storyboards of the "Night Before Christmas," or pay $2 for a small train ride around the park. Create a family tradition this holiday season and attend one, some, or all of the days.
