Below are photos of SOME of the animals in the Riverton City Animal Shelter. The times that animals come into the shelter are very inconsistent. Sometimes neighbors hold your pet for a period of time trying to locate its owner and then call Animal Control a week later. If you call the shelter on the day your pet is missing, and we do not have it, that does not mean we won't get your animal at a later date. It's helpful to call us so we can watch out for your pet and know who to call if we receive an animal matching your pet's description. We still encourage you to call back every couple of days. We make every effort to update the website with photos once a week, but please do not assume we don't have your pet if you don't see its photo below. Finding your pet is a daily, consistent effort as they may be spending an undetermined amount of time with neighbors. 

When an animal is picked up, we do everything we can to locate the animals owner. After three days, the animal becomes available for adoption. The adoption period for all animals is 10 days.
