Ordinance 13-3-25-1 - All dogs must be licensed
Ordinance 13-3-38-1 - All dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies by a veterinary. All vaccinations must be performed by a vet and accompanied by a rabies tag. We cannot accept any rabies vaccinations that are store bought.
Licenses are available at City Hall Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You must show proof of current rabies vaccinations (no less than 6 months).
The cost of licensing is $25.00, $10.00 if your dog is spayed or neutered. Licenses are to be renewed at the beginning of each new year beginning January 1st. If your dog license has not been renewed by March 1st you will incur a $10.00 late fee in addition to running the risk for a possible citation. You may also license your dog at one of our three local veterinarian offices:

If you no longer have a dog, please call City Hall at 254-0704 so we don’t continue to send you reminders.
