Pickleball Leagues and Tournaments

Pickleball Leagues

Description:  
The league is designed to keep everyone playing in a social, fun, and competitive environment.  The league is set up as a round robin mixer, which means each individual will rotate partners every week.  Each night will go two hours over the course of four weeks.                                          
Location: 
Riverton City Park pickleball courts (12700 S. 1400 W.)
Days: Tuesdays, specific dates and times vary depending on session
Cost:  
$15/league + an optional $10 for a shirt

Skill Division Expectations:
   
2.5 - You are brand new to pickleball; you are not familiar with all the rules.
   3.0 - You know the rules and can track your own score; you are working on hitting the ball consistently.
   3.5 - You are able to hit the ball consistently; you are working on placing the ball based on pickleball strategy.
   4.0 - You place the ball based on pickleball strategy; it is difficult to overpower you with a hard hit.
   4.5+ - You have played in several tournaments and won many of them; pickleball lost "game" status a long time ago.

Pickleball Clinics

Description:
   Beginner Clinics: 
You will learn the fundamentals of pickleball including game rules, scoring, and basic strategies to give you all the tools you need to sign up for the next 3.0 league. 
   Intermediate Clinics:
The intermediate clinic will give you a chance to improve/perfect key pickleball shots in a drilling format to help get you to the next level of play.
Location: Riverton City Park pickleball courts (12700 S. 1400 W.)                                                                                                              
Days: Tuesday evenings, specific dates and times vary depending on session

Pickleball Tournaments

Riverton Town Days Pickleball Tournament

Description:
This will be a pool with bracket tournament format. There will be a max of 8 teams per skill division. Click here for an example of this tournament format. There will not be separate divisions for Mens, Womens, and Mixed Doubles teams. We will have medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each division. Plus enjoy all the other Town Days festivities happening before and after the tournament.     
Location: 
Riverton City Park pickleball courts (12700 S. 1400 W.) 
Date: Tuesday, July 4, 2018
Times: 
   Advanced Division (4.0+):  8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
   Intermediate Division (3.5):  12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
   Beginner Division (3.0):  12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $25 per team (Sign up as a team, with a partner)
*Note: Only one person will register for their team.

Riverton Fall Classic Pickleball Tournament


Description: 
This will be a pool with bracket tournament format. Click here for an example of this tournament format. There will be separate divisions for Mens, Womens, and Mixed Doubles teams. We will have awards for the winners in each division. Last year, competition came from all over the state.
Location: 
Riverton City Park pickleball courts (12700 S. 1400 W.) 
Date: Friday-Saturday, Sept 14-15, 2018
Times (tentative, subject to change): 
    Friday:
      2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Mixed 4.5, Mixed 5.0
      6:00p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Mixed 4.0, Mixed 3.5, Mixed 3.0
   Saturday:
      10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Womens 4.5, Mens 4.5
      2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Womens 5.0, Mens 5.0, Womens 3.5, Mens 3.5
      6:00p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Womens 4.0, Mens 4.0, Womens 3.0, Mens 3.0
Cost: $20/person registration fee + $5/event you sign up for. For example, if you register ($20) and sign up for both mens doubles ($5) and mixed doubles ($5), it would total $30.
