ENEMBE Sculptural Art Show by Nate Brimhall
Nate Brimhall, Indoor/Outdoor Steel Sculptures | South Jordan, Utah, USA
"I love the heat, the light, the smell, the grit and grime, the permanence, and physicality of working with metal." One cannot visit the Fringe Gallery without being impacted by Nate Brimhall's work. His massive statement piece named "Joy" was the 9-foot tall crowning jewel that took center stage for our Grand Opening. He incorporates a striking variety of shapes, textures, contrast, and layers, with abstract subjects that provoke thought, discussion and even interaction (as shown with his kinetic works.) Nate specializes in large, oversized volumetric steel sculptures for both indoor and outdoor placement, but also creates smaller desktop sculptures as well.
There will be an open house January 10, 2018 at the Old Dome Meeting Hall. Time tbd.
Show begins January 8 and ends February 7, 2018. Come check out some wonderful sculpture pieces. Items are for sale at the open house and during the show. Pieces will/may be picked up thereafter.
Rest of 2018 season TBA very soon.
Jeanette Herrera Art Show
From an early age Jeanette sought out opportunities to create. Although her Bachelor of Arts Degree was in Performing Arts with a minor in Spanish, Jeanette has always looked at life like it is a palette. A limitless opportunity to learn, grow, create, and express who she is. She holds the brush and her life is the canvas. Jeanette has been sharing her talents with others for years through teaching art classes, teaching dance, singing, musical theatre, teaching voice, Spanish, and so much more. What Jeanette loves most is being a MOM, spending time with her children and enjoying farm babies. They spend many special hours playing with their chickens, goats, bunnies, and growing an amazing garden. About four years ago, Jeanette held a chicken for the first time, and she may have been slightly scared as if she was holding a prehistoric animal, but the longer she held the chicken it began to melt into her hand. Over the next month Jeanette realized her middle daughter, Alexa, was eating eggs pretty much every day and that is the moment she began her commitment to quit eating store bought eggs. Two chickens turned into four, then to eight, and let’s just say she might have over 50 chickens. Jeanette loves teaching her girls the importance of self reliance. She keeps costs low on the farm by using reclaimed wood and recycling old pallets from construction sites and so on. She calls it the reclaim game.
Roosters are such an eye full. Their majestic ways, diverse and vibrant colors have been a favorite subject for Jeanette to create fun and playful art. It has been a pleasure for Jeanette to share this hobby with her children and is full of gratitude for the opportunity to share her talents, and love of these birds with all of you at her art exhibit.April 3 - May 10, 2017
