ENEMBE Sculptural Art Show by Nate Brimhall

Nate Brimhall, Indoor/Outdoor Steel Sculptures | South Jordan, Utah, USA

"I love the heat, the light, the smell, the grit and grime, the permanence, and physicality of working with metal." One cannot visit the Fringe Gallery without being impacted by Nate Brimhall's work. His massive statement piece named "Joy" was the 9-foot tall crowning jewel that took center stage for our Grand Opening. He incorporates a striking variety of shapes, textures, contrast, and layers, with abstract subjects that provoke thought, discussion and even interaction (as shown with his kinetic works.) Nate specializes in large, oversized volumetric steel sculptures for both indoor and outdoor placement, but also creates smaller desktop sculptures as well.

There will be an open house January 10, 2018 at the Old Dome Meeting Hall. Time tbd.
Show begins January 8 and ends February 7, 2018. Come check out some wonderful sculpture pieces. Items are for sale at the open house and during the show. Pieces will/may be picked up thereafter.

Rest of 2018 season TBA very soon.

          Artist Statement

I began painting at a young age and have pursued art ever since.  I am totally self-taught and am always looking to better my art through experimentation with many types of techniques and styles, as well as subjects.  Many of my works have been sold at private showings.  My goal is to begin exhibiting my work at galleries to market them to a larger audience.  I am also accepting and have completed commissions for whatever subjects a client wishes.
Inspiration comes from many years of travel to many places in the world, and from a variety of experiences and situations which have influenced my thoughts.  I love the natural surroundings in Utah.  In addition, the scenes of the West, including portraits, are of special interest and inspiration for me. Much of my work centers on the Western Heritage which residents of Utah and the surrounding States have in great abundance.  My many friends have also helped to bring back images from their travels which they would like to have reproduced in painted form through my vision of them.
