The Riverton Children’s Theatre under the direction of the Riverton Arts Council will be holding auditions for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Auditions will be held Thursday December 6th, 2007 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday December 8th, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Auditions will be held by appointment only at Bigham High School.
This full-length production of the beloved Disney classic will be performed in March 2008 with thirteen performances. Rehearsals will begin right after the New Year. Due to production demands rehearsals will be maximum of six days a week and cast attendance is mandatory. Be prepared to sing 30 seconds (16 measures) of an up-beat Broadway song preferably not from this show. Piano available but please bring your own accompanist. CD and MP3 player available. Dress appropriate to learn and perform a dance audition.
All parts are open. Casting will be for ages 8 to 18. Must be eight by the time rehearsal begins and still eighteen before rehearsal begins.
