Council Message: Working hard for Riverton

I love serving on the Riverton City Council. I get to know and work with great city employees that labor hard every day to make Riverton a great place to live and raise our family. Our finance department knew we needed to update our utility billing system. They researched and found the best system for our city and knew it would be a huge undertaking. Over the past 3-4 weeks, they have helped around 3,600 residents set up their new utility billing accounts by going above and beyond and spending hours on the phone helping residents. We thank our Riverton families for your patience and understanding during this transition. Change is always hard, but we know the updated statements and increased functionally will be worth it.

Our public works department is also working hard on many projects. They are doing maintenance on our roads, updating our water infrastructure, and taking care of our parks. Our city is growing, and our employees are working hard to accomplish all we ask them to do.

The next time you visit City Hall, see our white city trucks around town or see one of our great police or firefighters, please take a moment to tell them thanks. Feeling appreciated goes a long way.

Also, I would like to remind you that municipal elections will take place this fall. You should receive your ballot in the mail, and voting will close on November 21. Thank you for letting your voice be heard.
