The Riverton City Council will hold a Truth in Taxation Hearing on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Riverton City Council Chambers, located at 12830 South 1700 West, Riverton, Utah.
This is the final Public Hearing on the 2008-2009 General Fund Budget. The City Council will vote that night on the budgets and the proposed property tax increase. The public is invited to offer their comments.
The Mayor and City Council are receiving public comment on the 08/09 Budget Worksheet, the 2008 Strategic Plan and the Citizen Property Tax Survey. A City-wide survey was recently performed to find out what residents think about various Riverton funding and budget issues.
